Q: Can we donate headphones and speakers?
Yes, donations of headphones and speakers would be gladly accepted.
Q: How do I know my data will not be compromised or stolen?
We have an entire page explaining how to completely wipe data from devices. We include methods from several trusted, verifiable sources on how to restore your device to factory settings. This means your data cannot be taken back and, thus, you are safe from data breaching.
Q: How and to whom will my devices be redistributed?
We will be sending our first batch of devices to Nazareth Residence for Mothers, a homeless shelter in Roxbury. Other shelters that have expressed interest in partnership are the Crossroads Family Shelter in East Boston and the Boston Family Shelter in Dorchester.
Q: How old can tablets or phones be? I have a few that are at least ten years old and I’d love to see them used and not in landfill.
As long as the devices are functional, we will accept them. The problem in this Digital Age is many of the less fortunate members of our society have nothing at all when it comes to technology, and anything will make a colossal difference in their lives. We would love to see your old, unused devices put to use and not in landfill as well, which is exactly why we started this charity.
